I was reading some posts on Attention Max and one particulary caught my attention. He talked about how he recently ventured into using a program called Meebo which i have used for about a month or so which I find fasicnating. It allows people to talk to people on many messaging services in only one application. For more information go to the following link vquzeshuf .

Article two and three.

For my marketing class I had to do a presentation on promotion. I feel promotion is one of the strongest attributes of marketing because its the way the company graps the consumer into buying the product. Some articles that I have found about this topic can be found at these two websites. The first website http://www.promotions.com/about.html , is a promotion agency that speializes in online promotion. This site shows examples of internet promotions found on the web. For example the McDonalds monopoloy game can now be tracked online for an easier convience to the consumer. The second website is http://www.actionplan.com/artpromo.html which talks about promotion your website and how to network your sites to others.

First trip to Yankee Stadium this Year

All I can say is wow. I havent been to the stadium in 2 years and everytime I step in the stadium I get the chills. All of the greats that have played at the stadium is the big factor but aside from that, they were playing the Red Sox. The Yankees and the Red Sox have the biggest rivalry in all of sports and throughout the 9 innings the stadium was louder than I have ever seen it. Even though the Yankees lost the game I went to, its always fun to sit in the bleachers while making fun of Red Sox fans. One thing I noticed thats new to the stadium is a countdown of how many home games there are left this season. This is because the Yankees are moving into a new stadium next season. It made me remember all of the games i went to when i was younger and all of the memories I had at each game. The memory I most remember is when Ken Griffey Jr was on the Mariners and he hit a home run and then the next at bat he accidently threw a bat in the stands two rows infront of me. Even though it was a accident it was cool as a child seeing Griffey that young and the skills he had. To see more about Yankee Stadium you can follow this link VQUZESHUF .

The first week of the season.

As the first week and a half of the regular season is over, the Yankees have faried a 4-5 record so far. They arent playing great baseball right now and this is due to many things. First their pitching hasnt played up to par. Ian Kennedy has been having some jitters starting the season in the rotation for the first time. Also injuries! Derek jeter and Jorge Posada went down with injuries due to a groin pull and a dead arm respectfully. Maybe it was due to the VQUZESHUF change in weather going from hot to cold. Or possibly they havent stretched enough this season. Hopefully they will get their act together by the time they have a weekend series with the Red Sox this weekend.

Article One MK299

Here is an article for my internet marketing class. The following website is intended to help promote companies who currently have blogs to be successful and attract the viewer. They list a bunch of websites that featured a companie's product in order to see people reactions to the product. However people can post positive and negative information about the products. Therefore this site gives tips to help promote positive feedback including Bullet points, Bright images, Sub headings, and having no intrusive adverts or commercial content.

The "Cone Head" Back in the Sports World

Today, David Cone had a press conference to dicusss a number of topics. First he talked about the steroid issue that has been going on for the past couple of years. Cone admitted that he has to take some of the blame for playing in the era and being part of the players association. During the 94 strike the players turned down a drug testing policy since it wasn't a big deal back then. But ever since 1998 with the Mark McGwire - Sammy Sosa home run race, people have questioned the integrity of the players and the use of steroids. Cone has not admitted to doing doing any type of performance enhancing drug, but feels that if he did something back in 1994, steroids would not be as big of issue as it is today. Cone has always been known as a respectful and humble person and he wants to see drug testing get back on the right track and crackdown on steroid use. One thing I was glad to hear is that he's coming to the YES broadcast booth for some games during the 2008 season rotating with Al Leiter and Paul O'Neill. Cone is a very knowledgeable person and I will be interested to what he has to say about numerous topics about the game of baseball. Seeing Cone-y back in the news made remember the commercial he was in about the El Duque dance so I figured I would post it here for all of you guys to remember.

Poll Results 2/7

Thanks to everyone who voted in this past weeks poll. According to the poll over half of you said that Joba Chamberlain will have the biggest impact on the 2008 season that is an unproven player. I would have to agree since he is going into the starting role for the first time in his professional career and can potentially make or break the Yankees rotation this season.

who's IN - who's OUT

With pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training in less than 10 days, questions start to be rumbling around Yankee Camp to see which players are in or out. Now that we know Joba Chamberlain is going to be a starter for the 2008 season, the Yankees currently have six starting pitchers. A normal rotation today consists of five, so someone is going to the bullpen. Chien-Ming Wang, Andy Pettite, and Joba Chamberlian are more than guarenteed a spot in the rotation based on the skill and perfomance last year. Phil Hughes if healthy, will be a starter based on his potential and being one of the most talked about prospects for the past three years. So then there were two, Ian Kennedy and Mike Mussina. While the Moose has 250 wins under his belt, he just turned 39 this past December. Many people have been wondering how much does Moose have left in the tank especially after he lost his starting job towards the end of last season. On the other side of the coin to fill the last spot in the rotation is Ian Kennedy. Kennedy, who replaced Mussina in the rotation last year on September 1st, posted a 1-0 record with a 1.89 era. The only question surrounding Kennedy is that he is unproven. Being a starter for one month in the MLB means close to nothing to show what kind of "stuff" you have. Being a good pitcher means making adjustments through the course a game and through the years in a career; since scouts and coaches analyze every pitch a pitcher makes. Mike Mussina has proven this in the past by using different pitches i.e. the knuckle-curveball. If the season were to start today Mike Mussina would be in and Ian Kennedy would be out based on past performance and knowledge of pitching in the MLB. However during spring training and the first month of the season, Mike Mussina will be on a very short leash and if he can't perform up to expectations, Ian Kennedy would be able to prove if he can handle the pressures of wearing the Yankee Pinstripes.

Johan Santana

The bidding is over and Santana is coming to New York... oh wait the NY Mets... Now that the Yankees are out of the race for Santana, they must rely on their young pitchers to lead them through the season. Out of all their young talent I feel that Joba Chamberlain will make or break their season. The Steinbrenners have been pushing to make Joba a starter, but how durable is he? Will he be able to go seven strong innings a game for six months? Now that he left the bullpen how will they get to Mariano Rivera without a 8th innning set up man. Even though the Yankees required Latroy Hawkings this offseason, he certainly can't fit that role. He had one good season with the Twins in 2001 and has gone downhill from their, bouncing from team to team. Someone from their farm system will have to step up or Cashman has to have some magic up his sleeve in order to address one of the major problems of the teams past few years. Their is still time this offseason for something to happen but their really isn't anyone good on the free agent market. I guess only time will tell...

Welcome
